Wow!!, that is a very difficult question, because we don’t know ‘How’ the universe will end. !!!!!!
Currently there are three hypotheses in cosmology about the 'HOW'
1. Big Rip (it expands so much that everything, even atoms, get torn apart)
2. Big Crunch (If there is so much mass that, eventually, despite the expansion
2. Big Crunch (If there is so much mass that, eventually, despite the expansion
rates, all the matter will fall back together)
3. Big Bounce (a Big Crunch towards a primordial soup that is followed by a
3. Big Bounce (a Big Crunch towards a primordial soup that is followed by a
NEW Big Bang)
Whatever may the end; we need not worry much about it, because there is no model that involves the universe ending before a few trillion years. Currently at an age of 13.7 billion, it's not even 1% old yet. ( One Trillion is million x million; 10 ^ 12 in short scale and million x million x million; 10^18 for long scale)
Anywhere between 10^12 and 10^18 years !!!!!!!!!!!
Now let us examine what was our Maha Rishies' estimation
They were sure about a kind of BIG BOUNCE ie. at the end, everything will be crunched as the “Pralaya Jalam”, then after a brief period, brief means cosmic brief (may be few trillion years), NEW universe will emerge.
And what is the time period? Since they were ignorant about the Hubble or Chandra telescopes they were using different methods/yardsticks/units; of course in years.
It is also true that different versions are available, however according to one version
43, 2000,000 Human Years = 1 Deva Chathur Yuga
1000 Deva Chathur Yuga = 1 Maha Yuga
1 Maha Yuga = Bramha’s one day time
36000 day and 36000 night = Life time of one Bramha
2 Bramha (life time) = One Vishnu life time
2 Vishnu (Life time) = One Siva Life time
43,20,00,000 x 1000 x 36000 x 36000 x 2 x 2
= 2.2 x 10^21 Years;
Then the Mahapralayam (Big crunch !!) (Hope my calculation is correct)
A wonderful approximation!!
WoW! What a calculation!
